Nourished Festival – Grayslake, IL

Hello friends!

On October 14th I had the pleasure of attending the Nourished Festival, a gluten-free and allergen-friendly fest, in Grayslake, IL. This was the first time, post-pandemic, that the event was held in person again. I even got to attend this event as one of the official bloggers/influencers for this event.

I was in the company of awesome gluten-free bloggers. In fact, this was the first time I was in the room with SO many like-minded people who just…got it. There was no need to explain what I could and could not eat. None of that, because they were in the same boat. It was very exciting to meet other local gluten-free bloggers and influencers.

So what is the Nourished Festival?

This is a two-day event that is full of educational classes, giveaways, coupons, and opportunities to speak to the brands you know and will soon learn more about. Nourished Festival has been educating people about gluten-free and allergen friendly lifestyles for the last 15 years–amazing!

While the event is in person, there are also opportunities for giveaways and education from the brands present onsite and more who are featured online-only.

While there were many brands I was already familiar with (yay for years of doing reviews!), there were plenty that I was learning about for the first time.

So let’s talk about what we saw…

What Brands Were Present At Nourished Festival

This year’s Nourished Festival had a great variety of gluten-free and allergen-friendly food, beauty and wellness products, and even handcrafted candles.

Each booth had wonderful owners and/or representatives of their company present to explain their products with great detail and excitement. For me it was just very exciting to see so many companies that are gluten-free.

I keep saying this–it’s a really good time to be gluten-free, and at the Nourished Festival it was exciting to be able to enjoy all the samples provided! It was a very tasty day, to say the least.

But getting back to it…

Why You Should Attend The Nourished Festival

This was my first time attending an event like this. Now, I’ve gone to comic and streaming conventions, but one specifically around a lifestyle that I had to adopt almost 3 years ago now? This was definitely a first. I was very excited to attend this event and even more so when I noticed there was an opportunity for bloggers to celebrate this event with their followers.

As a first-time attendee, I have to say that that event was VERY well-organized and full of good energy. Everyone was incredibly friendly and it made for a fun event. I mainly participated in the in-person event as that did require a lot of my energy, however, I did sneak a peek at the online portion too. Even on mobile, the interface was very easy to work with.

If you are gluten-free or perhaps have friend or family member who is, I absolutely cannot recommend this event enough. I feel like I’ve been doing plenty of research and reviews around gluten-free food, but there is still so much out there that isn’t as…”huge”. Meaning, there are so many companies that are on a smaller scale that are doing remarkable things in the gluten-free and allergen-friendly realm.

I’m very grateful that I got to meet so many great people who were representing their products. I still have plenty to post for my taste tests and reviews, so don’t forget to keep an eye out on my Tiktok, Instagram, and of course…Youtube!
