A Stir Fry Perfect For When You Don’t Know What To Make…
If you don’t plan your weekly meals, then it can be tough to figure out what to make during the week. Rather than turning to takeout, keep reading to learn about a recipe that you will want to add to your go-to rotation of meal ideas. I am certainly adding it to mine!
This recipe for a steak stir fry is simple, delicious, and one that I will be keeping on my go-to list going forward.

What’s Left In Your Fridge? Throw It In The Stir Fry!
Why love stir-fries? If you have veggies leftover in your fridge–don’t let them go to waste! Throw them in the stir-fry! The awesome part about a dish like this is that you really get to make it as good as you want it to be. In this case with the steak stir fry, I decided to add the veggies I had leftover in my fridge from other recipes I tried out. I had celery, shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, celery, and red onion. Don’t like any of those? No problem! Feel free to follow the recipe exactly or add your own favorites.
In my opinion, the most important part of the stir fry is the sauce as well as having some texture with your veggies.
If you mix and match the veggies as you like without making ANY changes to the sauce, you will be in for a real treat with this stir fry.
Getting The Stir Fry Sauce Just Right…
You’d think it shouldn’t be that difficult to make a stir fry sauce, however, you’d be surprised. I’ve tested and reviewed plenty of stir fry recipes where the sauce ended up being WAY too salty. With these sauces, you don’t want to overdo it with soy sauce.
My favorite part of this particular stir fry sauce is the use of orange juice. I think it works so incredibly well against the saltiness of the soy sauce (gluten-free, of course). Using an equal amount of rice vinegar and orange juice was absolutely the right move. Super props to this food blogger for doing that. That’s how you develop awesome recipes that you want to make over and over again.
Grey’s Grade: 5/5
This recipe was so incredibly simple to make and it is sure to be enjoyed by your family. You can switch up the veggies and protein as much as you like, but know that the sauce itself will make it an awesome meal. Now, if you follow the recipe exactly without making any changes, then I can guarantee you will be licking your plate clean.
I highly recommend this recipe to all you home cooks looking to cook more at home!
