Happy Weekend, friends!
With the sun slowly beginning to peek out, there is still room for some comforting desserts. My all-time favorite one being chocolate mousse. I’ve looked through many recipes for chocolate mousse and tried to pick one that would make sense to make on the weekend. Of course, by now we know what that means:
- Quick
- Easy
- Tasty
Keep in mind, my tools are limited because I’m not cooking in my own kitchen, so I often have to improvise.
That’s exactly how we wound up picking this recipe found on Taste of Home. You can find it right -> here.
This recipe was VERY simple to follow and took about 2 hours before it was ready to eat, which was perfect. Even better? Prep time was around 10 minutes. I quickly prepared the mousse and then moved on to dinner prep. By the time we were finished with eating dinner, we were able to enjoy the mousse. And boy…did we.
If you are looking for a quick recipe to test out, I highly recommend it. The recipe is accurate in how many servings it yields–two very light and satisfying servings.
I served the mousse in small bowls and added some raspberries to add some fruity sweetness. Best part about this is that you can customize what you want to include. Fruit, no fruit, ice cream, whipped cream–whatever!
Grey’s Grade: 5/5
If you’re looking to make something quickly for a tasty treat any day of the week, I would recommend making this chocolate mousse. It makes a great treat for any casual occasion, or even if you’re trying to spruce up your dessert game for a romantic evening. Whatever floats your boat! That’s exactly why I love this dessert–for its amazing versatility.
If you have any other chocolate mousse recipes you’d think I could try, go ahead and share them in the comments section! I’d love to try them.
But for now, I wish you all an awesome weekend and happy nomming!
