A Self-Care Treat With FabFitFun

This review of the FabFitFun Lifestyle Subscription Box is not sponsored.

During these uncertain times, I can tell you that I’ve personally been neglecting my self-care routine. I spend too much time worrying and overthinking to the point I wind up with a fever going to bed. Stress fevers–wouldn’t recommend them.

For this months subscription box review, I decided to take the plunge with a subscription box I’ve been eyeing for a while: FabFitFun.

I’ve reviewed plenty of lifestyle boxes, but never one that included this much customization.

Before we really get going, let’s rewind.

What the Heck is FabFitFun?

When this box first came out, I thought it was some sort of mail subscription for yoga pants. Not gonna lie. The more I started looking into it, the more interesting it became…a lifestyle subscription box curated to your passions.

One problem I have with subscription boxes is that you pay a fee for the box and only enjoy a quarter of the content in the box. Now, are you really getting a great value out of your order? Not really.

FabFitFun specializes in making sure each box consists of items that really pertain to you.

When you are setting up your first order, you are taken through a short survey to determine which type of items you’d be interested in by indicating on a scale of “Love it” to “Hate it”.

Afterwards, if signing up just in time, you will be able to go through a customization list. Now, this changes with every box and only remains open for a certain amount of time before items are sold out. In addition, there is an option to purchase add-ons to your box. Keep in mind that while the ability to access that list is included in your membership, each item is an additional cost. The upside is that you can purchase multiple quantities, as long supplies last.

These types of additions truly allow you to make each box uniquely your own.

How Often Are These Sent Out?

Most often, subscription boxes are on a monthly basis, however, more and more boxes are being sent out seasonally or quarterly. In this case, FabFitFun is seasonal. If you ordered a box after the cut-off line for the season, don’t worry. You will get something called an Editor’s box, which is sent out after the deadline has passed and/or the seasonal boxes have sold-out. With an Editor’s box, you still get that full customization and you don’t miss out on the fun if you end up joining after the seasonal box cut-off.

Also please keep in mind that due to COVID-19, there will be some delays. You’ll have to allow for about 1 month after you’ve been billed for the box to arrive. Mine took about that much time and then a few extra days due to delays with the carrier. However, my box came in perfect condition. The wait was absolutely worth it.

Quality Matters and FabFitFun Listens

When I received my box, I was honestly surprised at how large it was. I received full-size products and everything was packaged securely. The majority of my products were around facial care, which I absolutely love! I actually hadn’t tried any of the included products, so I was very excited to test them out. So far, I’ve tried 3 and they’ve all been excellent! My face is feeling baby-bottom soft!

Above are images of each beauty product I received. Feel free to click on them to get a closer look. So far I tried the Generation Clay mask, Wander under eye mask, and the LXMI balm. So far these products have been working wonderfully. I sure am a sucker for face masks! Thanks FabFitFun!

I was also very excited to receive the “Spiritual Gangster Maya Kimono”. Yes, you can absolutely receive clothing items!

In addition to these wonderful products, the box does come with a little bit more, such as coupons to share with friends, and ones that you can use yourself for other companies that have done business with FabFitFun, like Our Place, that is known for their “Always Pan”.

How is FabFitFun Priced?

One of the main things keeping me from ordering this subscription box was the price. As mentioned, I purchase all these boxes to review with money out of my own pocket. Sometimes that isn’t possible each month, but with the right promotions and generosity of blog supporters, I am able to try these out for reviews.

The box, without any promotions, is priced at 49.99 USD. I ended up using a 10 USD off promotion, which landed me with the price of 39.99 USD. Not bad at all!

After careful examination of the box and its content, I can absolutely tell you that the full-price of this box is justified. FabFitFun is very open about the retail value of each box and each included item. The Grown Alchemist Detox Night Cream alone is valued at a retail price of 125 USD. That’s just one item.

So, if you’re looking to try some great products without spending their individual retail price, this box is for you!

Grey’s Grade: 5/5

I’ve waited a long time to test this box and I am honestly impressed. All the products that were included in my box are absolutely ones that I would happily use. I’ve already tested a few and they certainly do their job. They aren’t cheaply made and believe me, I’d be able to tell really quickly due to how sensitive my skin is.

As I mentioned, self-care if essential more than ever because I know I’m not the only one getting lost in the stress and anxiety of the situation we’re all in together. But it’s important that we do take a step back and take care of ourselves. Even if it’s a sweet treat or bubble bath…we deserve moments like this.

This box absolutely gets a full 5/5 from me.

If you’re looking for a customizable lifestyle subscription box, then I highly recommend trying FabFitFun first before any other box. The value itself is incredible.

As always, thank you for reading! If you enjoyed my review, please don’t forget to subscribe to the blog and leave a comment! Your support is greatly appreciated!
