Pandemic or not, the holidays are about 4 weeks away. How is that even possible? Believe me, I’m asking myself the same thing. 2020 has felt like a blur and I’m not sure I understand what time is anymore.
Do you?
But getting back to today’s topic…
What do you get your friends and loved ones for the holidays when you’d barely seen them this year? Have their likes and dislikes changed? Debatable. Staying in quarantine has us trying loads of different things. That’s where subscription boxes really come in handy.
I’ve spent the last few years exploring different types of subscription boxes for this reason exactly. I find that these types of gift sets really bring a smile to people’s faces. For this post, I’ll be focusing on lifestyle boxes as well as some subscriptions that would be great for any age.
Friends or Family Talking About Learning to Cook? How About a Meal Kit Box?
There’s no doubt that people have been cooking a lot more often during this pandemic, but does it mean that they’re feeling confident in the kitchen yet? If you have friends or family talking about wanting to spruce up their kitchen skills, I’d recommend making a little gift set of an apron, or even other kitchen accessories along with a gift card or pre-paid subscription to a meal kit.
Now, which one?
Over the last few years, I’ve tested a good amount of meal kits and to this day, I will continue to recommend Blue Apron. I love this service for its fresh ingredients, diverse recipes, and overall easy instructions. It doesn’t get better as a stepping stone into building confidence in the kitchen. Plus, all the ingredients come portioned out, so if your gift recipient is living alone, they don’t have to worry about being drowned in leftovers or wasting food.

Find Your Gift Bundle In a Lifestyle Box!
My absolute favorite gift recommendation this year comes in the form of lifestyle boxes. These subscription boxes send you a curated experience for everyone in your family.
Below is a list of lifestyle subscription boxes that I have tried this year that have seriously wow-ed me!
FabFitFun – FabFitfun is often seen advertised all over social media, and rightfully so. The products in this box are centered around fashion, beauty, wellness, fitness, home, and tech. This variety is fantastic because you’re allowed to enter your preferences, as well as to pick the items you’d like included. Center this box around the gift recipient and you’re sure to impress them! This box was the most anticipated box for me this year and it certainly didn’t disappoint. This lifestyle box is seasonal and there’s still time to get the 2020 Winter box. Check it out now!

Vine Oh! – For those who enjoy a nice glass of wine, and you happen to know their preference, this subscription box will be a winner. Vine Oh! is a quarterly subscription box that sends out 2 bottles of wine based on your preference of red only, white only, or mixed, along with a box of goodies to accompany the beverage. First boxes are shipped immediately before following the quarterly schedule, so your box is guaranteed to show up in time for the holidays!

Why Gift a Subscription Box?
The holidays are often a very stressful part of the year, and this year is no exception. We’re doing our best to stay safe and responsible as we try to keep a sense of normalcy. Finding these subscription boxes has given me a great idea to put together this guide for you all. Just because we may not be able to personalize gifts the same way, doesn’t mean that we can’t find customized boxes for your loved ones that can be shipped as gifts to your friends and loved ones.
Allow yourself some ease this holiday season and consider gifting a subscription box!
