Before I begin, I’d like to extend a greeting to the awesome new followers! Hello and welcome! I sure hope you’ll enjoy my daily rambles [: ❤
And now…let us get down to the subject of today’s post.
As I stated in a previous entry, I’m currently working on a novel. It’s a Sci-Fi novel about sky pirates, foreign planets–you know, all that good stuff. Despite it being my main project, I do dabble in short fiction. Lately I’ve only been brainstorming for my short stories as many of them were put to a halt due to plot conflicts and personal reasons. I’ve been researching for months and thinking about them on a daily basis, so they’re not totally swept aside. In fact, one of them was meant to be a novel for NaNoWriMo, but a packed schedule really kept me from writing every day like I normally do. After months spent pondering and reorganizing the chaos that is my metal story agenda, l, like I do every morning, stepped into my HQ of Brainstorming, a.k.a…the shower. The result?
I’ve got it!
Being a writer, I don’t like to keep my character silenced. If they want to make an appearance with a suggestion for dialogue, then they shall speak. Shower brainstorming sure hasn’t failed me yet, so I’m pretty glad. Now, I don’t have too much to reveal for now, buut I’ve decided to make a big change in my short story. It’s a modern piece that was going to be written in first person, but after some thought, I figured that a switch of POV will actually be a lot better. Ah, now I can actually breathe easy and get back to working on this story. Maybe when I finish it, I’ll make a page for my stories [:
Now as I sit back, ready to get back to work, I have a question for you, my fellow bloggers:
What do you do to get inspired? Do you have any places that really help keep the creative juices flowing? [:
With that, I tip my cup of coffee to you, and I wish you all a splendid morning/afternoon/evening !
Till next time!
